New Hope Midcoast offers support to people in Sagadahoc, Lincoln, Knox and Waldo counties affected by domestic and dating violence and provides educational resources to assist our communities in creating a safer and healthier future.


New Hope Midcoast believes that the misuse of power to demean or control others fosters oppression and violence. This manifests itself as racism, sexism, classism, homophobia, religious bigotry, domestic abuse and other forms of violence. New Hope Midcoast believes that a just and peaceful society must commit itself to confronting and overcoming all forms of oppression and violence.

Please Welcome Our Newest Member, Joe Wardwell of The Christopher Group!


Joe has dedicated his entire career to helping people. He was born and raised in Castine and Penobscot. Joe attended George Stevens Academy in Blue Hill for high school. After high school he earned his Paramedic certificate at Northeastern University in Burlington, MA then quickly returned to the area he loves. He has been a Firefighter/Paramedic for the City of Bangor for 27 years and is currently a Fire Captain. He also dedicated 30 years of service to Peninsula Ambulance in Blue Hill where he started as a driver while still in high school. Joe holds an associate's degree in both Fire Science from EMCC and Legal Technologies from UMO.


In 2019 Joe started his journey in real estate. His knowledge of the Penobscot River towns and Coastal communities is extensive and he is excited to show you the beautiful opportunities that these areas provide.


Joe’s passion to help others has led him to helping people find a dream home that they can call their own. He is dedicated to helping you with all your real estate needs and to share his passion for coastal Downeast Maine and beyond.
