"My name is Josh McLafferty and I was born and raised in Moose Jaw, Saskatchewan. Following school I moved to out to Vancouver and followed my dream to specialize in Commercial Diving and Underwater Welding for 15 years around the world. Transitioning to Revelstoke in 2016 and began work to open Monashee Spirits Distillery. I became a member of the Chamber of Commerce in 2016 and then joined the board in 2019 to get more involved with advocacy and helping the business community around me. I am looking forward to this next term as President to continue the previous path laid out of positive changes and support to our local entrepreneurs and to continue my stewardship of volunteering and philanthropy. Currently I sit on multiple non-profit boards in our community, I am a father to two amazing children, run and operate my own business and I am completing my degree in Economics at UBC online."
