Sign Up Now for Chamber Bucks and Window Decoration Campaigns

It's hard to believe! Christmas in the Valley is just 4 weeks away. We are very excited about this new event which will include a Christmas Market at the Depot, an Art Market at The Vault, an Adventure Walk through downtown for families, strolling carolers, s'mores and hot chocolate stations and more. You will be able to make a Christmas ornament at the Arts Council. We are looking for sponsors for the Ugly Sweater Contest, the courtesy passenger golf cart, the carnival, the sanitation stations, the Christmas crafts and a caricature artist. There will be some fun, unique photo ops for everyone, including a 12-foot inflatable snow globe.

Current sponsors are Abiding Home Health and Bloomin’ Crazy (co-sponsoring the DJ), First United Bank (balloon animal artist) and O’Neal’s Jewelers (facepainting).
Popular Chamber Bucks Are Back
Sign up now to participate in this campaign sure to generate business during the holidays. The campaign starts Nov. 25, the Friday after Thanksgiving, and runs through Sunday, Dec. 11. As customers shop at participating businesses, they receive one raffle ticket for every $10 they spend (2 for every $10 on November 25th and 26th) for the "Chamber Bucks" drawing on Tuesday, Dec. 13. There will be 2 $500 winners, 4 $250 winners and ten $100 winners. The Chamber Bucks will be redeemable at the same participating businesses. Businesses can bring the redeemed Chamber Bucks back to the Chamber to be reimbursed.

If you are a merchant wanting to participate in the Chamber Bucks program, please contact the Chamber at or call Nancy Runge at 405-238-6491.

Window Decorating Contest Nears
Would you like to participate? Businesses can enter either of two categories: Window Display or Window Painting. There's no general theme, so the ideas are endless! The contest starts on Saturday, Dec. 3, so all the visitors to Christmas in the Valley will be encouraged to vote. The locations of all participating businesses will be promoted to generate traffic and turn “sightseers” into customers. Each window will have a QR code which will take you right to where to vote. First- and second-place prizes ($1,000 and $500 respectively) will be awarded in both categories.

Revisit Fallfest 2022
Thanks for Making Fallfest a Huge Success

What a great event! The huge crowd of families seemed to love the many activities and every booth had kids having fun, despite the weather. Thank you to the great committee members -- Chair Pamela Popejoy, Grace Farnan, Connie Upton, Allie Crow, Bonnie Meisel, Mary Gowing and Travis John -- for all your hard work.
Our major sponsors were key contributors to the success: Physical Therapy Central for the DJ, Grant & Katie Johnson CPA for the balloon animal artist, Abiding Home Health for the costume contest, and Sonic Drive-In and Pauls Valley National Bank for the facepainters.
Sponsors for the Witches Wheel of Wonder were Thompson’s Sooner Home Furnishings, Valley Gifts & Awards, Bloomin’ Crazy, First United Bank, The Grille, Restaurant & Bar, Punkins BBQ & Catfish, Hunter Super Tech, Insurance One. OG&E, TriVan Roofing, Field’s Pies, LuLaRoe Chellie Larson, Taco Bell, Pauls Valley National Bank and the City of Pauls Valley.
A special thanks to everyone who came and set up a booth: Amcor, Dr. Jamie Means DDS, First United Bank, Laura McClain, Valley Community Hospital, the Youth of First United Methodist Church, The House Church, Beatty Baptist Church and FCCLA, Garvin County 4H and FFA, Patrick Crowe, Pauls Valley High School Student Council, First Presbyterian Church, PVIS Student Council and Pauls Valley Art Club.
Special mentions go to Brock Carlile and Crossroads Church who really stepped up to host games in the lot next to Sharpe's Department Store and Amy Brown, Mickey Brown and Mark Thompson of Thompson’s Sooner Home Furnishings for hosting a fabulous blow-up haunted house and adding music which livened up Paul Avenue.
We also couldn’t have done it without our candy donations from Walmart Supercenter, Hinkle Printing & Office Supply, Covercraft, First Presbyterian Church, Bloomin’ Crazy, H&R Block, Cactus Closings, Branded Salon, Town & Country Insurance, Skyline Energy Solutions and Things We Like.
Some 55 kids signed up for the Costume Contest. The winners of the category for kids 5 and under were Roman Fitke, 9 months old (1st place); Noah Spears, 4, (2nd); and Hawksyn Hudson, 4, (3rd). In the category for those 6 to 12 years old, winners were Braleigh Edgar, 8, (1st place); Arbor Johnson, 7, (2nd); and Zeke Mackey, 7, (3rd).
Again, thank you to everyone who helped make it such a special day.
