Please Welcome Our Newest Member, Seaport Community Health Center!

Seaport Community Health Center, is a multi-service clinic offering high quality integrated primary care, including pediatric health; mental health and recovery services; walk-in care and a convenient retail pharmacy. It has been part of the Penobscot Community Health Care family since 2013.

Medical Director Samantha (Sam) Gilligan, NP, this year was named the first winner of the Theresa Bray Knowles Award for Nurse Practitioner Excellence by the Maine Primary Care Association.

Seeking to serve their 6,500 Seaport patients better and more comfortably (they’re bursting at the seams!), PCHC last year purchased the multi-building former MBNA complex at 21 Schoodic Drive (adjacent to the current practice). They are currently renovating Building No. 5 on the campus and expect to move the practice into beautiful larger quarters by September 2023. The new location will provide more exam rooms, team and consultation space, a lab, rooms for recovery group meetings, a considerably larger retail pharmacy, and comfortable waiting areas. There is plenty of parking.

What’s next? PCHC is working with multiple stakeholders and interested community partners to create a “wellness village” at 21 Schoodic, to include low-income senior housing, childcare, space for other health care entities, and a new eight-chair dental clinic to address a critical need in Waldo County.
