Executive Director Letter

Hello Chamber Members,
Only 47 more days until Spring. February is always the month when I am desperate for Spring to get here already. This has felt like an incredibly long winter and the current surge in COVID-19 is not helping, as it has forced us to pause our larger in-person events until the numbers start to go down again. This saddens me, as things had been starting to feel a little more “normal” at the end of last year. But the risk is too high, and we certainly do not want to be the cause of anyone getting sick. We are monitoring the numbers and will update everyone on the Business After Hours schedule on a monthly basis.
This month we continue to distribute our 2022 Macomb Area Chamber of Commerce Community Guide & Business Directory. You are welcome to stop by and pick up a stack for your business or let me know how many you’d like and I can drop them off when I’m out and about. You can view a digital version of the guide here.
As always, contact me at any time by emailing lauren@macombareachamber.com or calling the Chamber office at (309) 837-4855. I always welcome your questions, comments, and concerns.
Remember, only 47 more days until Spring! Warmer and sunnier days are ahead.

Marketing Director Letter
Welcome to February!
January was a good trial run for 2022 and we have all officially had a solid month of practice. We hope the new year is treating you well (despite the frigid temps), those resolutions are still intact, and you are still committed to being your personal best. And if you are struggling with it all, not sure where to start, and wishing it were 2023 already; that's okay too. That is the beauty of being a Macomb Area Chamber member, it's not one size fits all. We recognize that you have your own individual needs, outlook, and place in the business world and we're ready to help promote and support wherever you are to the customers, clients, sponsors, and network that you need most.
For those who have recently reinvested in the Macomb Area Chamber with their time and talents; we say thank you. We are honored to get to work with you, and for you, to reach your career goals and determine whatever success looks like for you.
As you are finding your way in the new year, feel free to visit our website for up-to-date information, follow us on social media, and check your email inboxes for the latest and greatest happening right in your own community.
And if you are still needing a boost, a game plan, or just a pep talk, we're here for that too.
Per usual, if you need to reach me with any marketing or member needs, hit up shay@macombareachamber.com or call the office at (309) 837-4855.
Let's make it a great month!
