Hello Chamber Members,
Welcome to May! With a few exceptions, April was pretty chilly… I am certainly looking forward to the warmer days ahead, as I’m sure you are! Take some time this month to enjoy the warmth and sunshine and smell the newly emerging flowers.
This month we have golf on the brain! Our Chamber Golf Outing is on Friday, June 10 at Harry Mussatto Golf course and we have been busy securing sponsors and lining up some amazing food, fun, and prizes for those of you who will join us on the course! Registration is now open, so sign up now at bit.ly/chambergolf22 or contact us to secure your team today!
This week is Teacher Appreciation Week! I encourage you to do or say something nice for a teacher in your life. The last few years have been especially difficult for our teachers, and they certainly deserve to be spoiled and feel appreciated! Chamber Gift Certificates make a great gift, but make sure you include a heartfelt letter of appreciation.
Finally, remember that we have graduation coming up at Western Illinois University on May 13-14 and we will see an influx of people in town since families will be visiting. Prepare your businesses and make sure you and your staff are ready to greet our visitors with a big Macomb smile! (The Spoon River College graduation ceremony will take place at the Canton campus).
As always, contact me at any time by emailing [email protected] or calling the Chamber office at (309) 837-4855. I always welcome your questions, comments, and concerns.

Marketing Director Letter
Hello Chamber Members,
Welcome to May! We're all drying ourselves off, looking for some sunshine, and getting ready to enjoy all those flowers we were promised this month. In our office, May means one thing - GOLF OUTING TIME!
We are in full swing (get it?) on planning our most popular event of the year; the Annual Chamber of Commerce Golf Outing. Whether you are a PGA pro or have never picked up a club, we guarantee you a day full of fun course activities, lots of prize giveaways, and so many snacks along the way.
And if you aren't a golfer, no problem, we'd love to have you join us as a sponsor or a volunteer. No matter your interest or skill set, we will find a place for you to get involved, network, and enjoy a day of fresh air.
You can find out more about the 2022 Chamber Golf Outing here or feel free to contact our office at any time for more information. My contact information is below and I encourage you to use it as many times as you need to; I promise no idea is too small or no question is too weird. That's what I, and the Macomb Area Chamber, are here for; to help you find the resources and information you need to be your best business self.
Let's make it a great month!
