Become the Next Fairest of the Fair
The Manitowoc County Fair is accepting applications now for the 2023 Manitowoc County Fairest of the Fair!
The Fairest of the Fair is the official ambassador of the Manitowoc County Fair and promotes the fair and advocates for the agriculture industry.
The Fairest will begin their reign on September 1, 2022 and appear at parades and special events leading up to the 2023 Manitowoc County Fair.
Their reign will end on January 31, 2024, after they have competed at the Wisconsin Fairest of the Fairs competition in early January at the annual Wisconsin Association of Fairs Convention. The Fairest will also participate in radio interviews and record ads promoting the fair. After successfully completing their reign, the Fairest will receive a $1,500 scholarship.
The 2023 Fairest of the Fair Competition will take place on Saturday, August 27, 2022 at 5 p.m. in the Ice Center and will be held during the week of the Manitowoc County Fair.
Applicants will have an individual and group interview with the judges, present a prepared a 30 second radio interview, and will answer impromptu questions in the on stage program.
Applicants should have high energy and strong enthusiasm for the Fair.
Applicants must be a resident of Manitowoc County, possess a valid driver’s license and be at least 18 years of age by January 1, 2024. Applications and rules can be found online at: fair.manitowoccountywi.gov.
