We had a great turn-out for our 2021 AGM! Thanks again to our speaker and door prize sponsor, Linda Rempel, as well as our AGM sponsor Coastal GasLink.
Our elections saw all our current Directors - Kevin Wallace (Wallace Studios), Trinda Elwert (Avison Management), Arlynn Klassen (Diadem imPrinters), and Anna Manwaring (Northside Water) - stay on for another term, as well as the addition of four new Directors! Welcome Mike Kollinger (MNP), Twyla Hale (Four Rivers Co-op), Tim Gavin (The Valley Goat), and Rhys Wallace (RAW Woods). The Board is excited to work with our Members this coming year to continue the progress we’ve made this year, despite the pandemic. And note, we have two positions still available on our Board (Secretary and Director), so please contact me or Lesley if you are interested in being part of the Vanderhoof Chamber Board.
~Michelle Roberge, President

The B.C. government has extended the deadline for the Small and Medium Sized Business Recovery Grant program to ensure businesses have the time they need to apply.
One of the main requirements has also been lowered to ensure more businesses are eligible.
The time to apply for the Small and Medium Sized Business Recovery Grant program has been extended from March 31, 2021, to Aug. 31, 2021.
The previous requirement for a business to have experienced at least a 70% revenue loss at some point in March or April 2020 has been adjusted. Now, a business is required to demonstrate only a 30% revenue loss in any one month between March 2020 to the point of application.

During this time of business uncertainty, we understand that finances are tight. That is why the Vanderhoof Chamber of Commerce is offering our renewing and new members the option to pay your membership fees over three months. Call to talk with Lesley on how we can support your business through this time.
And a reminder that our membership runs on a 12 month basis. For example, if you join in November 2020 your membership is good to November 2021. We feel that this method supports our members best so that everyone gets the most out of their membership.
