Virtual AGM Coming up!

Our first Virtual Chamber Luncheon last month was a success and we want to thank Greg Stewart, President of Sinclar Group Forest Products along with Dave Herzig, Sinclar's GM in Vanderhoof, for their presentation.

We are currently planning our monthly Chamber Luncheons for the year, and if you or someone you know is interested in sharing a topic that would benefit our local businesses, please contact us to get your luncheon on the schedule. Coming in March, we have the College on New Caledonia - date and registration link for the luncheon coming soon.

Our annual AGM will be on February 24th - 7:00pm - 8:30pm and all our members are invited to attend! This is a virtual event, no fee for attending. At the AGM we will present how the last year has gone and our big goals for 2021. We are also seeking additional Directors for our Board, so please if you have been considering this, let us know!

I will be sending out a Zoom link for the AGM by email to all the members by February 19th. Please contact me if you do not receive it.

LET'S TALK MENTAL HEALTH & WELLNESS

This year, the conversations around proper mental health resources and funding are more important than ever. A recent poll shows that 40 percent of Canadians have reported their mental health declining over the past year as a result of the COVID-19 pandemic, highlighting the continued enormous pressure and strain families, employees and employers have been dealing with. There is no question this pandemic has taken a toll and as we continue to navigate a second wave and ongoing lockdowns, now more than ever it is important we take a moment to remember our own needs and support each other to get through these challenging times. While we are physically apart, no one is alone when it comes to dealing with mental health issues.

Membership Fee Support

During this time of business uncertainty, we understand that finances are tight. That is why the Vanderhoof Chamber of Commerce is offering our renewing and new members the option to pay your membership fees over three months. Call to talk with Lesley on how we can support your business through this time.

And a reminder that our membership runs on a 12 month basis. For example, if you join in November 2020 your membership is good to November 2021. We feel that this method supports our members best so that everyone gets the most out of their membership.
