A Roundup of Chamber News & Resources
We're Here to Support As Your Indispensable Partner In Business!
Winner of the Leading Advocates For Local Business Development
2020 Canadian Business Award

Today we give thanks and remember the heroes who fought for our freedoms. We honour their sacrifices by giving back, doing our best, and making our communities safe, friendly places to live, work and play.

Our gratitude has to be more than visits to the troops and once a year Remembrance Day ceremonies. We honour the dead and all those who serve by treating the living well.
Lest We Forget,
Your Wasaga Beach Chamber of Commerce

RT07 Programs/Grants For Hospitality & Tourism
Three programs/grants are available to tourism and hospitality businesses to support economic recovery.

Recruitment Implementation Program - We know how hard it has been for businesses to find staff and we have developed a new social media advertising program call the Recruitment Implementation Program to help with the cost associated with marketing jobs. This program will provide a $1,000 or $2,500 (depending on the size of the business), 4-week social media advertising campaign for tourism and hospitality businesses who are looking to hire staff.

This program is great for businesses who are looking to hire now, or who will be starting recruitment for summer positions early 2022. There is no cost to the business to participate, but they must have an active Facebook page and website with the current job offerings plus a few photos. to use in the campaign.

COVID-19 Recovery Support - 50% of eligible capital expenditure that relates to COViD safety and security (i.e. Expansion of patio, POS systems or booking systems) between $500 and $2,000.

PPE COVID-19 Recovery Funds - Available to tourism operators who have been in business for at least one year from the application date. This program will reimburse businesses a maximum of $1,000 pre-tax of PPE retractive to April 1, 2021.

A well run chamber makes a huge difference in the business community.

I run a networking group on zoom every week with 30 folks coming – mostly from Simcoe County and your chamber has been mentioned a few times.

The Digital Marketplace Web Portal!
Advertise Your Business With A FREE Place Listing
The Digital Marketplace is a Wasaga Beach Chamber of Commerce initiative to share local business and community information during the COVID-19 pandemic and beyond. We invite all local businesses, organizations, associations, community resources, clubs and places to register for an account.

Once your account is created, you can login to add your business place information and also add any upcoming events. Yes, you can do all of this yourself as well as update your business listing information as needed! Note: Tutorials are available to walk you through the process. Click here to access the video.

Currently all event and business listings are free and you do not need to be a member of the Chamber to participate. Our goal is to build the Digital Marketplace as the go-to portal for Wasaga Beach business and community information. We need your help to do this! You can help us reach this goal by registering for an account and listing your business information as soon as possible.

Our plan is to market the new portal through both traditional and online marketing channels to spread the word about local business here in Wasaga Beach.
