A Free Enterprise Perspective

The data center debate is missing one important fact: most of us depend on them every single day.

Data centers support many of the services people use every day, including:

• Online banking

• GPS navigation

• Streaming services

• Cloud storage

• Artificial intelligence

• Smart home security

Residents have every right to ask questions about water use, noise, power demand, and community impacts. Those concerns deserve real answers.

At the same time, growth should pay for growth. If additional infrastructure is needed, the companies creating that demand should bear their fair share of the costs rather than shifting the burden to local taxpayers or residential ratepayers.

The real question isn't whether we need digital infrastructure.



The real question is how to build it responsibly.
