Toast of the Town: Celebrating Trussville’s Best event, was held on January 27, 2025, at Corbeau Wine Bar located in the Trussville Entertainment District. Prestige Alarm was the Presenting Sponsor. Supporting sponsors included: Bryant Bank, The Trussville Tribune, Birmingham Coca-Cola, Amerex Corporation, SPOC Automation, Jefferson Memorial Funeral Home & Gardens, and The Mortgage Firm. Food was provided by Corbeau Wine Bar, desserts provided by HTHS Culinary. Flowers by Sunnie Leigh Designs, awards by Badges and Awards 4 U. Entertainment was provided by Cashmere Williams.


Taylor Burt presented the Gatekeeper Award to Kristi Bradford for individual and Amy Peterson O’Brien, Cahaba Homestead Heritage Foundation, presented the Gatekeeper Award for group to Amber Benson of Leadership Hewitt Trussville.


Kristi Bradford is the Executive Director of Leadership Trussville. She started as a teacher and grew into roles such as Assistant Principal and Executive Director. Her passion for education and community service led her to inspire students, support families, and promote literacy and math skills through nonprofit work. A constant presence in the community, she continues to make a lasting impact through her leadership, volunteerism, and commitment to building a stronger Trussville.


Amber Benson leads Leadership Hewitt Trussville, a yearlong program that empowers students by fostering leadership, critical thinking, and practical skills. Students engage with local leaders and tackle real-world projects to improve the community. Participants leave as articulate, professional leaders with a lasting impact on Trussville.


Eddie Harden of Prestige Alarm also presented the Unsung Hero award to Stacy Frazier, whose t ireless dedication, unwavering commitment, and behind-the-scenes efforts have made an impact on our city.


The Chamber Ambassador of the Year was awarded to Greg Armstrong, GEICO-Armstrong Services. His contributions over the past year have truly stood out, and he has consistently demonstrated a deep commitment to our community.


Other awards given out at the event were: Scott Hughes, Veteran of the Year; Jeff Mauldin, Trussville Tribune Sports Person of the Year; James Stewart, Trussville Tribune’s Person of the Year; and Jefferson Memorial Funeral Home & Gardens presented Eddie Seal with a Lifetime Achievement Award.
