New Face Covering Requirements
As has been widely reported, new face-covering requirements took effect across the state today. Note: The Virginia Department of Health won’t be inspecting or monitoring businesses for compliance and there are some exceptions and exemptions. Find all the details from the Governor's office here: bit.ly/2XcIaPb.

For questions or concerns about the face covering Executive Order, please call 1-877-ASK-VDH3, not your local health department.

We've compiled a few pieces of related information and resources:

  • The Reopening Mask Friendly graphics shared during our webinar a few weeks ago are still available. Download Graphic 1 or Graphic 2.

  • Roanoke City and Alleghany Health Districts and VDH created this poster about the mask order.

Women of the Chamber Webinar: June 16
For our second Women of the Chamber of 2020, we're excited to be joined by Caitlyn Scaggs, Associate Vice President and spokesperson for Radford University.

How should you react when presented with a once-in-a-century worldwide pandemic causing unexpected personal and professional turmoil? There might not be a one size fits all answer to that question, but in most cases, perspective makes all the difference.

We hope to see you on June 16 as Caitlyn shares her experiences, encourages attendees to shift their perspective, and helps uncover opportunities hidden in plain sight.

When: Tuesday, June 16, 2020
Login Open: 11:45 a.m. - 12:00 p.m.
Program: Noon - 1 p.m.
Location: Virtual on Zoom
Cost: $10.00
