Plans Announced for Safely Opening Up America Again, Louisiana
President Provides Governors with Guidelines for Three-Phased Approach
President Trump has unveiled Guidelines for Opening Up America Again, a three-phased approach based on the advice of public health experts. These steps will help state and local officials when reopening their economies, getting people back to work, and continuing to protect American lives.

Guidelines include proposed state or regional gating criteria, along with individual and employer guidelines for each of the three phases.
Gov. Edwards Creates Resilient Louisiana Commission to Guide State's Reopening
Gov. John Bel Edwards announced the creation of Resilient Louisiana, a state commission charged with examining Louisiana’s economy amid the COVID-19 pandemic and making recommendations for more resilient business-related activities and commerce in the coming months. The 18-member panel includes Lt. Gov. Billy Nungesser and will be co-chaired by Louisiana Economic Development Secretary Don Pierson and health care leader Terrie Sterling.
State Business Community Outlines Preliminary Framework for Economic Recovery
The Louisiana Association of Business and Industry and Baton Rouge Chamber released an executive summary for restarting the state's economy in a responsible and safety-oriented manner. The considerations were developed in partnership with state industry executives, peer business organizations and associations from around the state--including the St. Tammany Chamber.
