OUR 3 YEAR STRATEGIC PLAN.
Thank you to Revelstoke Mountain Resort for generously hosting the Chamber Board of Directors and our consultant Deb McClelland from OnBoard Training for our Strategic Planning Session. Our Board has approved our Strategic Plan for the next 3 years, taking us into 2024. Will be working on our tactical plan to follow. Click here to read our Strategic Plan.

TELUS COMMUNITY PROGRAMMING.
The Chamber was approached this spring with an amazing opportunity from Telus. A multi-media company, “Bamboo Shoots” came to Revelstoke in July to film an episode of “The Business Gym”. The program will air in Fall 2021 as a 60 minute television show to over 1 million viewers via TELUS community programming. Stay tuned for upcoming content!

PROVINCIAL & FEDERAL ANNOUNCEMENTS.

GOVERNMENT EXTENDS COVID-19 BENEFITS.
On June 30, the federal government announced the extension of Covid-19 support measures for Canadians and Canadian businesses. These extensions include:
- Extending the eligibility period for the Canada Emergency Wage Subsidy
- Extending the Canada Recovery Benefit (CRB), the Canada Recovery Caregiving Benefit (CRCB), and the Canada Recovery Sickness Benefit (CRSB)
- Increasing the maximum number of weeks available for the CRB

VISITOR EXPERIENCE UPDATES.

AMBASSADOR PROGRAM.
We are excited to share that the Revelstoke Ambassador Program will be returning this fall and that development of a summer program is underway! The Ambassador Program is a training session on key local knowledge and exceptional service for frontline tourism workers in Revelstoke. This free training is exclusively available to tourism stakeholder Chamber members. Upon completion, participants will receive an incentive package including access to a discounted RMR season pass. More information will be shared soon on how your business can get involved, including signing up your team members and joining the incentive program.

GRIZZLY PLAZA KIOSKS.
With funding from Tourism Revelstoke, Revelstoke Chamber of Commerce and the Columbia Basin Trust, renovation of the Grizzly Plaza kiosks was completed in July. The 5 kiosks now display 20 panels, sharing information on history, sustainability, iconic Revelstoke locations and helpful & interesting local knowledge.

VISITOR EXPERIENCE SURVEY.
We are currently running a survey to collect important visitor experience data. This data will be used to grow our visitor services and measure progress of our destination goals.
Share this survey with your customers and guests using the poster attached and help us to improve the visitor experience in Revelstoke.
