THE HOLIDAYS ARE AROUND THE CORNER.
We've been working with volunteer group who are determined to reignite the Spirit of Christmas for 2021. This diverse group of citizens are co-ordinating efforts to centralize communication of existing events and supporting a few new things as well.
The City of Revelstoke is in the process of lighting up 6 trees in Grizzly Plaza.

Watch for other festive things around town, like a community-wide Christmas Sweater Weekend.

GOV'T ANNOUNCES TARGETED COVID-19 SUPPORT MEASURES TO CREATE JOBS & GROWTH.
The Canada Recovery Hiring Program has been extended until May 7, 2022, for eligible employers with current revenue losses above 10% and increased the subsidy rate to 50%. The extension would help businesses continue to hire back workers and create the additional jobs Canada needs for a full recovery.

GREEN STEM WAGE SUBSIDY | SCIENCE HORIZONS, BRITISH COLUMBIA.
Science Horizons are providing up to $25,000 in wage subsidies for STEM (science, technology, engineering and mathematics) roles filled by young people in the Green Sector in Canada. Through their wage subsidies, they will invest in companies hiring youth aged 18-30 with a post-secondary degree or diploma in Green Sector STEM roles between now and February 15, 2022. This is an opportunity for employers to access up to $25,000 in additional funding, and for youth to access new opportunities, networking events, and training through the Science Horizons program. Learn more here or contact Brett McMillan directly.
