CHAMBER ANNOUNCEMENTS.

A MESSAGE FROM OUR EXECUTIVE DIRECTOR.
"In response to the BC Government’s announcement regarding the vaccination passport, on behalf of our Board of Directors and organization, our Board President issued a media release on August 27, 2021. We continually engage in a flurry of communication about this program with government officials, BC Chamber of Commerce, our colleagues at other Chambers throughout BC, our Board of Directors, and our members who have reached out.

All conversations indicate that this program is moving ahead. At this time, we are focussed on gathering program information, and submitting ideas to the government that will support the affected businesses. Once we learn more about the BC Government’s plan, we will do what we have done from the beginning of the pandemic; we will share the latest information so that businesses have access to the information they need to inform their choices...." COMMUNITY.

FRAMING THE OCP.
Based on community engagement outcomes (OCP Vision and Community Priorities, OCP Important Topics, Sustainability Framework) and a series of Focus Group working sessions, a draft framework for the OCP has been developed. The framework is essentially the high-level table of contents to guide policy development discussions with the community later this fall. The survey lets the Focus Group know if we have missed anything or if there are ideas the community does not support.

Please review this framework and take a look at this quick five-question survey by September 20th.
