Dear Friends and Members of the Chamber,
I’m excited to share that tasting wristbands are now on sale for Taste of Los Gatos, taking place on Saturday, September 6, from 12–5 p.m. While our signature street festival is free—complete with live music on two stages and new features including a craft-beer tap truck, a Family Fun Zone and a Rest and Relax Zone at Town Plaza Park—you will want to purchase a coveted tasting wristband to unlock delicious bites from more than 27 Los Gatos restaurants and pours from 20 local wineries. Secure yours now at the presale price, as these wristbands sold out early last year. If you’d like to volunteer, some shifts remain, and volunteers receive a generous thank-you discount. To help our businesses elevate their digital presence, we’re hosting a Social Media Fundamentals workshop on Tuesday, August 12, from 6–7 p.m. at the Chamber office. In just an hour, our expert will translate today’s platform into a clear, fifteen-minute-a-day action plan that filters out gimmicks and can be implemented immediately.
The Chamber’s marketing suite blends high-impact digital and print channels to amplify your brand and bring in new customers. Our newest digital tool, Bandwango, sends mobile offers straight to consumers—no app to download—and tracks every redemption in real time. Add a directory listing and an ad in the 2026 Los Gatos Destination Guide, and your message travels even farther.
Finally, we’re thrilled to see so many people enjoying special promotions throughout Los Gatos on GOLD Thursdays – the first Thursday of each month from May through October. Tonight the fun continues with plenty of activations, including live music, an astronaut balloon twister at Old Town Los Gatos, and complimentary organic cotton candy from Cotton Candy Kid on Grays Lane from 6–8 p.m. It’s a wonderful time to connect with neighbors, welcome visitors, and celebrate our vibrant business community.

Town: Survey Says: Top Priorities for Los Gatos Residents
In the 2025 Los Gatos Community Survey results (released in June), 99 percent of residents say our town is an excellent or very good place to live, and 91 percent, 89 percent, and 81 percent report strong satisfaction with our library, parks, and public safety services, respectively. Nearly everyone supports continued investment in: streets and sidewalks (96 percent), traffic flow (94 percent), 911 response (89 percent), and disaster preparedness (89 percent). Our Chamber will be monitoring these priorities closely and advocating for solutions that promote both our businesses’ and residents’ needs. Click here and here for more information

National: June Inflation Increases as New Tariffs Take Effect
The Commerce Department’s June data showed goods‐price inflation—especially for imports like furniture and apparel—jumping to its strongest pace since January, driven largely by new tariffs. That unexpected uptick complicates the Fed’s path to cutting interest rates later this year and may push borrowing costs higher for small businesses. Click here for more information.
