Dear Friends and Members of the Chamber,

Los Gatos feels especially joyful this time of year with so many holiday events to enjoy throughout town. I’m delighted that the Chamber is bringing our community together for connection and joy through our heartwarming Magical Memories Holiday program on the first two weekends of December. Visit our webpage for details on Trolley Rides, Santa’s Workshop, gourmet hot chocolate, and Sweet Surprise giveaways next to Automobuild. Come join us for the official opening of Santa’s Workshop, when incoming Mayor Rob Moore cuts the ribbon on Friday, December 12, at 3:45 p.m.

Between December 5- 31, we invite you to enjoy the Window Wonderland: Holiday Window Decorating Contest, which comes to life throughout town. Stroll with your friends and family to view festive storefronts—and spot the hidden Wildcat in many of them. Cast your vote for your favorite window and favorite outdoor décor, and we’ll announce the winners in the New Year. A digital map of all participating stops makes it easy to plan your route.

While you're out enjoying all the holiday fun, I encourage you to support our Los Gatos businesses. National: Strong Holiday Sales Offer a Boost, Early-2026 Outlook Looks More Measured

Holiday spending surged over Cyber Week, giving retailers a solid lift heading into December. Markets are also anticipating a Federal Reserve rate cut next week, which could ease borrowing costs for both consumers and businesses. At the same time, analysts note that much of the spending strength reflects promotions and flexible payment tools, and recent labor data shows some cooling beneath the surface. Together, these trends suggest a strong finish to 2025 with a steadier, more measured environment as we enter 2026. For Los Gatos businesses, this is a good moment to maximize holiday traffic, manage January forecasts conservatively, and take advantage of any rate relief to support cash flow.
