Dear Friends and Members of the Chamber,
February brings many opportunities for connection and celebration, including the Super Bowl, Valentine’s Day, Lunar New Year, Presidents’ Day, and Black History Month.
As we mark the Lunar New Year, we welcome 2026 as the Year of the Fire Horse, a symbol of leadership and collaboration. It is a fitting way to begin the year with renewed focus and momentum across our business community.
One of the highlights this month is our third annual Sweetheart Stroll on Saturday, February 7, a family-friendly, Valentine’s-themed afternoon in Downtown Los Gatos celebrating local boutiques and restaurants.
The fun continues with Get Fresh Valentine’s Week, February 7–14, giving businesses an extended opportunity to showcase Game Day and Valentine’s offerings and experiences.
We are also looking ahead to one of the most meaningful evenings of the year. Our Chamber’s Shine Among the Stars Gala takes place Saturday, March 28 at enchanting Nestldown. This elegant, highly social evening brings business and civic leaders together to celebrate excellence, generosity, and leadership through our Stars of Los Gatos Awards, honoring the people and businesses that make Los Gatos shine. Nominations are now open, and I encourage you to help us recognize the leaders and businesses whose impact strengthens Los Gatos throughout the year.
The strength of the Chamber is reflected by the caliber of organizations that choose to invest in it. I’m pleased to share that El Camino Health, Netflix, and Good Samaritan Hospital have once again committed as our Chamber’s year-long Title Sponsors. State: California Employers Required to Issue New Employee Rights Notice by Feb. 1
California employers were required by February 1, 2026 to provide employees with a new annual “Know Your Rights” notice outlining key workplace protections, including anti-retaliation, workers’ compensation, immigration-related protections, and rights to organize or act collectively. The notice must be provided to all current employees and to new hires at the time of hire, using the employer’s usual communication method. This requirement applies to employers of all sizes and is separate from standard workplace postings. Click here for official guidance and notice templates.
