TOWN: Traffic Advisory
Caltrans will continue daytime and intermittent overnight lane closures on State Route 17 at the Main Street Overcrossing and Santa Cruz Undercrossing in Los Gatos through December 2025. The project upgrades sidewalks and bridge rails to meet current safety standards. Expect limited parking on the Main Street Bridge, with no-parking signs posted.

State: Take Action on Key Business Legislation
Cal Chamber is asking businesses to review these two urgent legislative alerts and make your voice heard by contacting your legislators through their IMPACT California Action Center.
Oppose AB 692 (Kalra)
Summary: Prohibits employers from collecting repayment (e.g. hiring bonuses) from employees upon resignation or termination.
Concern: This would prevent employers from requiring a minimum stay in return for benefits like hiring bonuses or tuition assistance—potentially discouraging them from offering such programs.
Summary: Broadly bans workplace surveillance in non-private areas (e.g., break rooms) and limits monitoring of employer-owned devices or vehicles.
Concern: The bill is overly broad, applying to all California employers, and could hinder reasonable efforts to protect property, ensure productivity, or investigate misconduct.
