Below are details provided by St. Charles City Hall in reference to the planned Black Lives Matter event tomorrow, June 6, for your knowledge and awareness.

General Information
- A Black Lives Matter event is planned for St. Charles Saturday, June 6 from noon to 2 p.m.
- A Sit-in/Assembly is planned in Lincoln Park, followed by a march on the north sidewalk traveling east down Main Street to Rt. 25 and then back to Lincoln Park.
- Organizers have stated the intention is to have a peaceful event. They have cooperated with the City and the Police Department to hold a safe, orderly event that ends promptly at 2 p.m.
- Business owners should use their discretion regarding operations for their business tomorrow.
Traffic Management
- 4th St. will be closed between Rt. 64 and Cedar St. between 10 a.m. and 3 p.m., Saturday, June 6.
- No parking on 5th St. between Rt. 64 and Cedar St. between 10 a.m. and 3 p.m., Saturday, June 6.
- No parking on Cedar St. between 4th & 5th streets between 10 a.m. and 3 p.m., Saturday, June 6.
- Traffic control will be onsite along the march route.
