Tue Oct 2 - Ribbon Cutting at 5:15 PM for Sioux City Public Schools Foundation, Ho-Chunk Centre, Ste. 213. They are celebrating their new office space. Open House from 4:30 PM to 6:30 PM.
Thur Oct 4 - Ribbon Cutting at 10:45 AM for new Chamber member, Brightside Cafe & Deli, 525 4th St.
Thur Oct 4 - Ground breaking at 12:00 Noon for CNOS , 5708 Sunnybrook Dr. They are celebrating the ground breaking for their new Specialty Clinic and Physical & Occupational Therapy facility in Morningside.
Thur Oct 4 - Ribbon Cutting at 4:00 PM for IBC Safety Training Center, 617 Water St. Open House from 4:00 PM to 6:00 PM. They are celebrating the opening of their new training facility.
Fri Oct 5 - Ribbon Cutting at 2:00 PM for STARS, Inc. , 33148 K22. A social hour including a dessert bar will follow the ribbon cutting. They are celebrating 20 years at their current location.
Tue Oct 9 - Ribbon Cutting at 10:00 AM for Metro Electric, 931 Steuben St. They are celebrating their 25 year anniversary.
Thur Oct 11 - Ribbon Cutting at 12:00 Noon for Keizer Refrigeration and Mid-States Utility Trailer Sales, 5220 Harbor Dr. (Exit 141 off I-29) They are celebrating their new Sioux City facility. Lunch, tours, games and raffle prizes will follow the ribbon cutting until 2:00 PM.
Fri Oct 12 - Ribbon Cutting at 10:00 AM for Peoples Bank, 468 Titan Rd, Hinton, IA. They are celebrating the announcement that Pinnacle Bank in Sioux City and Hinton are now Peoples Bank. Open House from 11:00 AM to 1:00 PM with complimentary pork chops grilled by The Pork Producers.
Fri Oct 12 - Ribbon Cutting at 1:30 PM for Sioux City's newest park, Prairie Park, 3500 South Lewis Blvd. A variety of prairie grass and wildflower blends have been planted on 58 acres just off Lewis Blvd. where the park is located.

Iowa State Auditor Mary Mosiman will be our guest speaker. Auditor Mosiman is no stranger to the Chamber and she will bring her expert knowledge of Iowa state finance and budget to the Government Relations Committee.

How many years has the Siouxland Humane Society been in Siouxland? We have been in Sioux City since 1889.

What services do you offer?
We provide many programs and services that promote the humane treatment of animals in the Siouxland area including: adoption, pets for seniors, sponsor a pet, spay/neuter assistance, veterinary assistance, pet food bank, emergency sheltering, breed rescue, pet facilitated therapy, cruelty investigation, pet surrender, lost and found, microchipping and end of life services (euthanasia/cremation/pet loss support).

What is a fun or surprising fact about your organization?
We touch the lives of many more people and families than we do pets with our many programs and services that are to help keep families and pets together!
