The Reinvention of High School Education by Defining New & Diverse
Pathways to the Future

Sioux City Community Schools

The Sioux City Community School District now offers 30+ career pathways to high school students enrolled in the Sioux City Career Academy. Students from 15 different high schools (public and private) may participate in the programs offered at the Downtown Campus and the Hopkins Campus. Students learn the specialty pathways as they earn college credits, licensure, certifications and more. Dr. Paul Gausman will share details of this program and take any interested attendees on a tour of the downtown facilities following the event.

Cost is $35 per person and includes lunch.

Thur Feb 28 - Sun Mar 3 - 62nd Annual Siouxland Home Show, presented by the Home Builder's Association of Greater Siouxland at the Sioux City Convention Center. Home Show admission is $6 for adults, kids 12 & under are free. Find out event hours and more here.

Thur Feb 28 - A Night Under the Stars at Cone Park, hosted by Connections Area Agency on Aging, 6:00 PM to 9:00 PM at Cone Park. Admission is $7 for tubing and ice skating (skate rental $3 extra). A portion of the admission fee will benefit senior programs. Click here for more information.

Mon Mar 4 - Siouxland Youth For Christ Comedy Cafe at Delta Hotel Conference Center, South Sioux City, NE. Doors open at 6:15 PM - event begins at 7:00 PM. Comedian Ken Davis and Siouxland Youth for Christ present their annual vision night and fundraiser with inspirational comedy and local kids' stories of transformation. Find out more here.

Fri Mar 15 - Siouxland SHRM 2019 Conference at Morningside College - Lincoln Center, 7:00 AM-4:00 PM. Keynote speaker is Celina Peerman, Ph.D., President/Chief Training Officer, The Peerman Group. She will discuss HR strategies for 2020. Register and find out more here.
