A little rain couldn't stop Torrance Area Chamber of Commerce members from enjoying a festive evening on the jaw-dropping, newly-renovated showroom floor at Scott Robinson Honda on Hawthorne Blvd. A heartfelt thank you goes out to Jeff Robinson, Vic Simonian and the entire crew for hosting one of the best off-site holiday mixers in recent memory! The holidays are truly a time for giving, and thanks are also in order to Jack Walser for his efforts in assisting with the toy drive benefitting local South Bay youth. With the New Year, all of us at the Torrance Area Chamber are hard at work to ensure a successful 2017 for our members, new and old alike! Cheers to a Happy "HondaDay" season!

Writing the first 'Out and About' column of the New Year, I am thrilled to introduce you to Micronova Manufacturing, Inc., a woman-owned business, established in Torrance in 1984.
Recognizing the need for specialized tools to address critical cleaning in the emerging electronics and aerospace industries, the company - through its founder Audrey Reynolds - developed a range of clean room mops, wipers and detergents to service classrooms and controlled environments in the western United States and further afield.

Torrance Area Chamber Welcomes Congressional Representatives Waters & Lieu in January

The Torrance Area Chamber of Commerce will host the State of the Region on Thursday, January 19th at 11:30am; featuring Congresswoman Maxine Waters, 43rd District and Congressman Ted Lieu, 33rd District.
The luncheon will be held at DoubleTree by Hilton Torrance - South Bay, 21333 Hawthorne Blvd, Torrance. Waters and Lieu will present their insights regarding the local impact of national and global issues being dealt with at the Congressional level.

Join the Torrance Area Chamber of Commerce for the California Labor Law Update on Tuesday, January 24th at 8:00 am at Toyota USA Auto Museum, 19600 Van Ness Ave in Torrance.
Labor Law Update is a panel discussion featuring New California Employment Laws Impacting Business and will offer attendees useful tips to stay ahead of the curve. Moderator Rob Van Lingen will lead the panel to help you gain knowledge on Employment Law and navigating new laws for 2017 from experts in the fields of Law, Insurance and Human Resources.
