Community Dinner

The Workshop at Timber Ridge
Sip ‘n Spin with Rockbridge Vineyard & Brewery. Saturday, November 15th from 4-7PM. $85 + $25 for the wine tasting at The Workshop at Timber Ridge. This session will give you a taste of what it’s like to throw pottery on the wheel to help you decide if you may enjoy an 8-week wheel-throwing class where you really get to dive in. Speaking of tastings, we will start with a wine tasting of holiday feasting favorites by Rockbridge Vineyard & Brewery owners for an extra fee of $25 (payable at the event). A glass of wine to enjoy after is included in the fee and is open to all, 21 and older. Wine will also be available to purchase. Note: pieces will be fired after the fact and available at a later date.

Rockbridge Historical Society
Appalachian Trail Reading Group. On Nov. 17 (5:30-7 PM), an A.T. themed reading group will cap the series at the Lexington Library with short online selections for final reflections. See RHS Facebook for reading links, and for hike descriptions and details.
Just in time for Veterans Day, the Rockbridge Historical Society Museum will be hosting a statewide traveling exhibition, "Virginia and the Vietnam War." Free and open to the public from Nov.5 - Dec.14, 2025, the exhibit can be seen from 12-4 PM, Fridays-Sundays, at the RHS Museum (101 E. Washington St.) Through November, you can also view the interpretive displays at the Lexington Library, Mondays-Thurdays, 10 AM-7 PM. See RHS Instagram and Facebook for more about the exhibit; RHS' "Vietnam Roundtable and Open Mic" at RCHS on Dec. 7; and a Dec. 17 film screening from Ken Burns' Vietnam War documentary, or contact Eric Wilson at Director@RockbridgeHistory.org to discuss recording your own oral history.

Jackson House Museum
Friday, Dec. 12 from 6-8pm. Visitors will step back in time and experience an 1859 Christmas while interacting with costumed interpreters. Those who attend will also have an opportunity to be a part of the “preparations” by singing Christmas Carols, churning butter in the kitchen, and helping our 1859 visitors pick the proper outfit for dinner. Last tour will be at 7:40 p.m. Admission for the event is canned food for humans and/or pets to benefits the Rockbridge Area Relief Association Food Pantry. Help us give back to our local community and come out for an evening of candlelit magic. Wreaths Across America (WAA)
For the second year in a row Remembering Rockbridge Veterans has joined with the Wreaths Across America (WAA) program to remember and honor local veterans interred in the Evergreen Cemetery. A wreath laying ceremony will take place on December 13 at 1:00 p.m. The public is cordially invited to attend the ceremony and participate in laying wreaths on all 120 veteran gravestones in the Evergreen Cemetery.
