On Tuesday, October 10th, Debbie Hays, local inspirational leader and community enthusiast was awarded with the City's most revered honor: the Jared Sidney Torrance Award. Hays is described by many as Torrance's "energizer bunny," involved in various committees and organizations that celebrate Torrance's history. She has served on the City of Torrance Centennial Committee, the Torrance High School Centennial Committee, the PTA, Secret Hearts, the Torrance Historical Society and many more.
