MERIT Program's January session major hit with students & mentors!
|
|
The MERIT (Mentor) program partners together Chamber members and students from Torrance High School. This gives the students opportunities to learn from each mentor’s career knowledge, community involvement and life experience. The high school students are shown variety of career paths through guest speakers focused on relevant topics. Most recently, the January session was all about listening skills and learning about one another. The Chamber organized fun activities throughout this session, including a game where the individuals were each given questions to ask one another and at the end, they had to introduce their mentor or student to the whole room. The room was full of laughter and genuine interactions!
