Flowers, if you have noticed Borrego is blooming on Henderson Canyon Road, so much so the media is spreading the word from television to digital. We shall see what happens with our visitors count. Either way it's a beautiful site in December.

FYI, I'm at the market every Friday, normally back and forth from the Chamber, but if you'd like to sit and talk about something Marie at the Chamber booth can always find me or just come up when I'm walking around. I appreciate community feedback and ideas, or maybe the Chamber can help you with something, that's how we grow.

No shopping before 8 AM, like any other business we open at a certain time for a reason, please understand.

With Respect to ALL shoppers and vendors, dogs must be on a leash. and droppings immediately picked up. This is a serious health code violation that can shut the market down.

Annual Hazardous Waste Removal

Anyone 65 years of age and older is provided one annual free home pickup of hazardous waste from the “Our One Earth” SD County Hazardous Waste Center at 877-713-2784 (if using a landline dial 1). For more information about what hazardous waste is, brochures are available at the Chamber.

Borrego Community Cleanup

Borrego's community clean-up is held the first Saturday of every month, commencing at The Circle and fanning out to nearby areas either on foot or by car to pick up litter. The Chamber provides bags and pickers;

all you need to do is bring yourself.

Did You Know?

In 1670, a German choir master asked a local confectioner to shape the candy into its traditional form, resembling a shepherd's hook. In the Christmas story, shepherds traveled from far and wide to visit the infant Jesus. The symbolic candy cane helped keep his choirboys content during long practices.
