 Dear Borrego Community,

Now that I’ve had a little time to process Borrego Days being canceled, I truly understand how many of you are feeling. It was a very difficult call for the board, but one I fully support when considering the cold hard facts concerning the community’s health and well-being.

The Board of Directors and all of us at the Chamber appreciate your emails and calls of support with this decision. Some of you are already talking to us about holding small local events that weekend to kick-off the season. Of course we’ll have to wait until we see where Covid-19 takes us.

In the meantime, during the Chamber August hiatus and beyond we’ll be discussing what we might be able to plan where social distancing and health and safety guidelines can easily be followed. We are looking at everything that comes our way from other communities to see what they are trying to do as we are all dealing with the same issues.

Watch your health closely, use common sense and keep your emails and ideas coming, I’m saving them all!
Françoise….Executive Director Borrego Springs Chamber of Commerce

We’re already thinking about next season, and apparently so are you — 33% of the field is reserved for The Ramateur on Dec. 5-6 after only a couple weeks since we opened up registration. So don’t miss out on the opportunity to sign up for our all-new event here: http://ow.ly/BOP950Axfnk . Overnight accommodations are getting snapped up quickly for that weekend, so make sure you’re not left out in the cold (well, not really the cold, more like the really nice winter desert weather).
