Parade Theme: Reach for the Stars

Executive Director's Notes

By Franҫoise Rhodes

The 2026 Borrego Days Parade Theme is..........

Reach for the Stars

Whether it is the youth of Borrego charting their paths, the celebrities that come and go or the beautiful night skies known around the world, the stars are an integral part of who Borrego Springs is. Use your imagination and let the stars shine bright on your parade entry!

As we are in the process of the 26-27 visitors guide, the Chamber has had several calls requesting info about being in the guide.

Distributed digitally and with over 18,000 printed copies, you'll find our guides in many visitor centers in California, Arizona, Oregon and of course all over Borrego Springs. To be included in the guide you or your business must be a member of the Chamber. The Executive/business level membership starts at $150 a year, that's a lot of advertising for $150.

Speaking of marketing, read the article in the news section about Borrego Springs being a great spot to UFO sightings, maybe we need a huge alien sculpture in the middle of town? :-)))))))))))

The Chamber has free copies of Borrego News and check out the new online version of the Borrego Sun at borregosun.com.

Summer business hours are posted below.

The Chamber Weekly will run all summer long, except for maybe a few weeks in August, life goes on in Borrego Springs.

Many of the streets in Borrego Springs are named after the brands

(used on branding irons) of past ranches in the area.

Can you name this brand?

Answer: Weather Vane

Congratulations David Farley

Borrego Community Cleanup

Borrego's community clean-up is held the first Saturday of every month, commencing at The Circle and fanning out to nearby areas either on foot or by car to pick up litter. The Chamber provides the bags and pickers;

all you need to do is bring yourself.

The Community Clean-up will be on a summer hiatus during July and August. People can still pick up trash on their own schedules and in their neighborhoods, call Marcy Yates, (760) 767-4287 for more information.
