Beutler, Gale, Ahn and Duperron Installed as Officers of BizFed
|
|
This past Tuesday, Jonathan Beutler, Charles Gale, Joe Ahn and Donna Duperron were installed as officers of the Los Angeles County Business Federation (BizFed). Judge Anthony Moore was the swearing in officer.
Beutler and Ahn will serve as co-chairs of the Trade committee, Gale will serve on the Advocacy committee and Duperron will serve as co-chair of the Small Business/Diversity committee.

18th Annual JBA/TACC Grand Mixer
|
More than 250 business professionals from the Japanese Business Association and Torrance Chamber of Commerce are expected to attend the 18th Annual Grand Mixer, scheduled for the evening of February 9th at Sunrider International.

Chamber 101 Teaches the Basics of Maximizing TACC Membership
Seventeen new TACC member businesses and organizations came together on Tuesday, January 31st to learn more about their Chamber membership.

W-2 Scam Targeting Payroll, Human Resource Departments
|
The Internal Revenue Service, state tax agencies and the tax industry renewed their warning about an email scam that uses a corporate officer’s name to request employee Forms W-2 from company payroll or human resources departments.

20th Annual Black History Celebration Honorees Announced

The Torrance Area Chamber of Commerce and Greater Los Angeles African American Chamber of Commerce have been presenting the Black History Celebration for two decades; honoring the contributions of the many African Americans who space our nation's past, present, and future.
We come together every February, during what has been nationally recognized as "Black History Month" in the United States since 1926, to recognize the contributions of African Americans who have made a difference on the world stage as well as those that have changed lives in our local community. This year is no exception as we celebrate the many achievements of those being honored on Friday, February 24th.

Expert Panel Updates Torrance Area Business Owners and Professionals

2017 brought many enigmatic updates for employers and business professionals facing new Labor Laws and compliance requirements. The Torrance Area Chamber of Commerce was proud to offer its annual Labor Law update event to shed light and clarification on several topics of concern for the new calendar year.
