Arriving at Dream Dinners, owners Beverly Wurth and Duffy Humbert welcomed me. After introduced to several staff, I was invited to sit in an area called their living room to learn more about their business. Craig Leach Announced to Receive Distinguished Citizen of the Year at State of the City

Congratulations is extended to Craig Leach, President & CEO of Torrance Memorial Medical Center. Leach, who was surprised with the news at his office, will be presented the Distinguished Citizen of the Year Award at the upcoming State of the City event on Thursday, March 17th, 2022.

Since 1953, the Torrance Area Chamber of Commerce has annually selected the Distinguished Citizen of Year whose achievements have been significant to the community and to the general welfare of the people of Torrance. Leach's incredible work to support the community is recognized, admired, and noteworthy as he is involved as a Board Member with various health care related organizations including the Vivity health Network and the Torrance YMCA. Torrance Releases Inaugural Year in Review
The City of Torrance is proud to release its inaugural Citywide report, a 2021 Year in Review. The City Manager’s Officer, in collaboration with staff from each of the 13 City departments, compiled the information and produced the report to communicate with the City Council and members of the public a highlight of projects across the departments for the 2021 calendar year.
 
Torrance Mayor Patrick J. Furey said, “The variety of information is impressive, informative and visually inviting. I believe it provides a picture of how City staff takes pride in this community and works hard to make Torrance a wonderful place to live and do business.” Read More...
COVID-19 Update: Requirements and Recommendations
The CDC's COVID-19 community risk level for LA County is currently LOW. In light of this, many of the requirements for wearing masks and showing proof of vaccination or a negative test before entering venues have been lifted by the County Health Officer. Business at Noon at Stonefire Grill
A monthly networking event, Business at Noon will be held on March 15th at Stonefire Grill from 11:45 AM to 1:15 PM. Gina Lee from American Illumination, will be the master of ceremonies and facilitate self-introductions of chamber members. Admission of $26 includes lunch, a beverage, tax, and gratuity. 

For maximized networking, please arrive and check-in at 11:45 AM. During lunch, each attendee will take 30-seconds to introduce themselves and their business to all guests. Don’t forget your business cards, and feel free to bring a raffle item to promote your business.
