Upcoming Public Consultation on Proposed Air Quality Regulations

The South Coast Air Quality Management District (South Coast AQMD) will hold a Public Consultation on March 6, 2025, at 1:00 PM (PT) to discuss updates to Proposed Amended Rule 1111 (natural gas-fired furnaces) and Proposed Amended Rule 1121 (residential gas-fired water heaters). The amendments set manufacturer requirements for low-NOx and zero-NOx emission standards, giving consumers options for compliant space and water heating appliances.

Metro South Bay Area Projects Updates

Metro is moving forward with key transportation projects in the South Bay, including survey work for the C Line Extension to Torrance and pre-construction activities for the I-105 ExpressLanes Project. These efforts will help improve regional transit and traffic flow. Read More...

State of the State Event to Feature Legislative Updates from Sen. Ben Allen and Assemblymember Al Muratsuchi

The Torrance Area Chamber of Commerce invites you to the 2025 State of the State on Friday, March 21, at the DoubleTree by Hilton Torrance - South Bay. This annual event features State Senator Ben Allen (24th District) and Assemblymember Al Muratsuchi (66th District) as they provide key legislative updates and discuss policies shaping the state. Students from El Camino College and California State University, Dominguez Hills were welcomed to last week's Intersection Between Business and Healthcare event through the Chamber's Foundation 'Handshake Program'. This program provides an opportunity for students to meet and engage with individuals in the fields they are studying.
