Donna Visits The Lundquist Institute

This week I had the opportunity to visit The Lundquist Institute for Biomedical Innovation at Harbor-UCLA Medical Center. It was founded in 1952 on the campus of Harbor General Hospital, acquired by Los Angeles County following World War ll. Comprised of numerous wooden structures - former army wards and barracks - considerable breakthroughs were accomplished in these primitive structures until the first substantial research building was inaugurated in 1987. Congressional Representatives to Address Chamber Members at State of the Region

The Torrance Area Chamber of Commerce is set to host the "State of the Region 2024" on Wednesday, February 21, 2024, starting at 12:00 pm at the DoubleTree by Hilton Torrance - South Bay. The event will feature addresses from Congresswoman Maxine Waters of the 43rd District and Congressman Ted Lieu of the 36th District, focusing on key regional issues and developments.

Chairwoman of the Board Sherry Kramer and CEO Donna Duperron welcome Los Angeles County Assessor Jeff Prang. Prang, is a countywide elected official responsible for estimating the value of all property in Los Angeles County. He made a presentation to the board of directors.
