On Friday, June 21st, the Torrance Area Chamber of Commerce partnered with the City of Torrance to host the Select Torrance event at the Mary K. Giordano Regional Transit Center. Industry experts in real estate, city planning, business banking, labor laws, and more shared invaluable insights. Attendees networked with panelists, explored showcase opportunities, and discovered how businesses thrive when they Select Torrance. The event also included discussions on global opportunities for Foreign Direct Investment, and engaging with international business leaders.
This partnership is important for the Torrance Area Chamber of Commerce as it highlights our role in fostering economic growth and connecting businesses with key resources and opportunities. By collaborating with the City of Torrance, we can better support our members, attract new investments, and enhance the economic vitality of our community.

Torrance Bakery to Celebrate 40th Anniversary | |
Torrance Bakery is celebrating 40 years of baking excellence and service to the community with a ribbon cutting ceremony and seven days of giving kick-off on July 22nd. The seven days of giving kick-off will feature a different charity or foundation each day over the course of a week. These include Serra High Space, ICAN, Volunteer Center, NAMI, YMCA, Torrance Area Chamber of Commerce Foundation and the Torrance Historical Society.
Additionally, a portion of the cookie sales will be gifted to their loyal employees, who have made the 40-year journey possible. The ribbon cutting ceremony will take place at 11:00 am on July 22nd. Torrance Bakery is located at 1341 El Prado, Torrance.

A monthly networking event, Business at Noon, will be held on Wednesday, July 17th at P.F. Chang's starting at 11:45 am. Ian Johnson, owner of Top Tyr Training, will be the master of ceremonies and facilitate self-introductions of chamber members. Admission of $28 includes lunch, a beverage, tax, and gratuity.
Business at Noon is a great opportunity for businesses of all sizes to network so please arrive promptly and check in at 11:45 am. During lunch, each attendee will take 30 seconds to introduce themselves and their business. Make sure to bring your business cards and feel free to bring a raffle item to promote your business.

The Torrance Area Chamber of Commerce is hosting Coffee & Commerce Speed Networking on Thursday, July 25, 2024. This event, exclusive to Chamber members, offers a prime opportunity to connect with local business professionals, exchange business cards, and discover new opportunities. Enjoy coffee and breakfast treats while networking in a structured, speed format.
The event will be held at the Torrance Area Chamber of Commerce office, with registration at 7:45 a.m. and the program from 8:00 a.m. to 9:00 a.m. The cost is $5.00 per person. Attendees are encouraged to bring a gift certificate or item from their business for a door prize drawing. See you there!
