It has been reported to the Chamber by various local businesses that there are many employment opportunities available for those affected by the fire at de Anza Country Club. With so many open positions the list is too long for the Chamber Weekly, they suggested you simply call the business you are interested in working at and ask what is available.

The Chamber Certified Farmer’s Market has another new vendor, coffee! Yes, this Friday we welcome Mr. Brown Bean from Vista. Let’s give him a good start in Borrego Springs.

We love pets at the Farmer’s Market but not when this happens. An attendee let their dog go to the bathroom right in the middle of the walking corridor and walked away and left it. If this happens again we will ask you to leave the market as stepping in a pile of poop is not a pleasant experience for anyone.

From Our Mayor

It’s here! Our lovely weather has returned, and the beginning of another glorious season has arrived in Borrego Springs and the Anza-Borrego Desert State Park. Our village is bubbling with activity and all are welcome to join the fun.

Welcome home to all our seasonal residents and tourists alike. We are glad to see you! It’s time to enjoy all that our village and our valley have to offer. Great restaurants, entertainment, and educational opportunities abound here.

Please stop by the Chamber of Commerce Visitor Center at 786 Palm Canyon Drive (east of Christmas Circle) between 10 AM and 2 PM weekdays. There you will find maps, brochures and friendly volunteers to help you find out about things to do in Borrego Springs. There’s a lot more than meets the eye!

I look forward to seeing you all around town, and once again, welcome home.
