Exciting New Event in Need of Leadership and Volunteers

The Torrance Area Chamber of Commerce Foundation is extremely proud to present Summer Fest, an event to benefit the Torrance Area Chamber of Commerce’s Junior Leadership Torrance Program. This program is designed to provide an opportunity for high school sophomores to explore career paths by visiting local corporations, non-profits, and municipalities.

Summer Fest is a community event that features live music, delicious food, and a silent auction. The festivities will be held in front of The Depot Restaurant in the heart of Downtown Torrance on Sunday August 20th from 4pm-9pm.

This is an excellent opportunity for our members to become involved, and luckily spots are still open for new committee members and volunteers! As a committee member you’d be able to promote a great cause for the city you love, and volunteering at the event puts you in the middle of the action! Join in on the fun and serve your community all at once - come celebrate Summer Fest with us!

Area Businesses To Be Honored at Annual Event on June 16th
Every year, the Torrance Area Chamber of Commerce celebrates the Inauguration of the incoming Board of Directors as well as the exemplary people and organizations that form the vibrant fabric of our community. On June 16th, the 2017 Inaugural & Business Awards Celebration will take place at noon, held at the DoubleTree by Hilton Torrance-South Bay.

Laurie Brandt, incoming Chairwoman of the Board, hails from the beautiful state of Indiana and, as such, the event will boast a charming midwestern flair. Details are rather hush-hush, with fun surprises in store for Brandt and guests.

Perhaps the most anticipated portion of the program is the presentation of awards to the myriad businesses being honored for their positive impact on the greater Torrance area. Awards are merited based on various criterion including community service, commitment to economic vitality and growth, and overall contribution to the Torrance Area Chamber of Commerce.
