Weekly Chamber News & Events
29th March 2021
THIS WEEK'S EVENT -
How understanding your personality preferences can help improve your business.
Wednesday 31st March 10:00 - 11:00 (log in from 09:45)

Virtual Coffee with Jackie Adams of Jackie Adams Consulting & Chamber Director
Jackie will talk to you about personality preferences; the impact they have on how you run your business, and how you can understand yourself and others more effectively.
Jackie is a qualified Myers Briggs Type Indicator practitioner, and will use this as a basis of the session.
Jackie will cover 4 areas:
• Where you get your energy from
• How you deal with the world around you
• What process you use to make decisions
• What kind of information do you like to use
Why does all matter to you?
By understanding your preferences, but also other people’s, it will allow you to adapt the way you interact with people in different circumstances, and with people who do not have the same preferences as you.
You will understand that there are no ‘good and bad’ preferences, and that a mix of different personality types adds richness to a team.

INTEREST IN MEMBERS SURGERIES
At a recent online event, some members felt a worthwhile addition to facilitated Chamber services would be a range of Free Surgeries.

As discussed at the time the idea was for members to set aside a block of time perhaps weekly, during which they would be happy to offer a free 15 minute telephone surgery.

In addition, to avoid time spent dealing with telephone and email enquiries to book these the suggestion was to use one of the many free appointment booking apps where you specify the time available during which 15 minute slots can be booked.

Free surgeries will be advertised on a specific page on the Chamber website once we go live on this and if you would like to take part please email Jeremy Webb to make appropriate arrangements. Dependent on the number of offerings we would envisage the listing being along the lines: Business name | Contact name Headshot \ area of knowledge covered | Day & time slot for calls and a booking link to that person’ calendars
