Education Opportunities for Your Employees
Mental Health First Aid
We have partnered with PVFF and the Mental Health and Recovery Services Board to bring you Mental Health First Aid Training. Mental Health First Aid teaches a 5-step action plan to offer initial help to people with signs and symptoms of mental illness or in a crisis. Anyone can take the 8 hour course. The cost is $20 per person and includes lunch. It will be held on November 28 from 8:00 am to 5:00 pm at Midwest Electric.

The November webinar provides information about upcoming deadlines for public employers, combinations due to acquisitions and mergers, the $15,000 Medical-Only Program, cost containment strategies and a monthly safety tip.

Bridges out of Poverty - Save the Date
Bridges out of Poverty is a training curriculum for professionals and communities. Participating in this training will allow attendees to gain a deeper understanding of the challenges facing those who live in poverty. This training will also provide attendees with some of the strategies and tools needed to more effectively serve this population. Contact the Auglaize County ESC if you are interested.
The St. Marys Area Chamber of Commerce presents to you the first Winter Dreams, a Holiday tour of homes. We plan to showcase 4-5 homes on December 19 from 6:00-8:30 pm. We will be providing a full-color “Winter Dreams” booklet to each participant, providing directions to the self-guided tour of homes, advertisements/listings of sponsors, information about outdoor light displays, sales of local retailers, and more. In addition, we are planning to provide family holiday activities at the High Street Shelter House. Profits from the Home Tour support the St. Marys Area Chamber of Commerce and our efforts to help St. Marys area businesses succeed.

Board of Directors
We are in the process of recruiting individuals to have seat on our Board of Directors. We ask that you are employed or own a member business. It is a 3 year term and your asked to attend a monthly board meeting. We meet the fourth Tuesday of each month for lunch at JT's Brew and Grill. Let Abby know if you are interested in volunteering or would like more information.
