Bring a Child To Work Day
Northwest Illinois Economic Development is organizing ‘Bring a Kid to Work Day’ for Wednesday, August 3, 2022, and we are encouraging you to take part. This is a workforce development + chamber development + youth retention initiative. There would be no cost to your organization!

The idea is to encourage chamber businesses to allow their employees to bring a kid to work so that they can see what happens in the workplace. This could be the employee’s kid, their grandkid, their neighbor’s kid. Just find a kid and bring them to work!

If a chamber business wishes to participate, it will be on them to sort out the logistics of the day. We are just the facilitators of the event there to organize it and to give them creative ideas. What they then do is up to them. All we ask in exchange is for them to snap a few pictures and post them on their Facebook page and in doing so tag their local chamber and NWILED.
