- Chip timing is provided by J3timing with results posted during the event.

ATTENTION STOCKTON RESIDENTS! A fiber internet upgrade is coming to Stockton! The STK6 fiber neighborhood is anticipated to begin construction this Summer! Also, the STK1 and STK3 fiber neighborhoods have recently advanced to the Signup phase! If you haven’t already, you can signup at connectsp.com/iwantfiber. You can also verify your signup status at this same address, checking if you only completed the fiber interest form or if you completed the fiber signup agreement and selected your fiber internet package. Signup today to receive free installation! (129.95 value). Once the signup goal is reached, the fiber neighborhood will advance to the construction phase.
For members in the remaining areas of STK2, STK4, and STK5: If you haven’t done so already, please express your interest at connectsp.com/iwantfiber. Once enough interest has been expressed, these areas will go into the sign-up phase.

Timber Lake Playhouse Workshops for the Youth
|
|
A series of performance workshops for youth ages 7 – 12 begins with our Children’s Theatre Performance Workshop featuring Kid Detectives with a focus on acting and PopStar Party with a focus on singing and dancing. This workshop runs June 20 through June 25 with a public performance on Saturday, June 25 at 11:00 and 2:00.
Frozen, Jr. will be produced as a part of a two-week workshop for youth ages 7 – 12. The workshop will begin on July 11 and run Monday through Friday from 1:00 – 4:00 for two weeks. The public performance of Frozen, Jr. will be on Saturday, July 23 at 2:00 and 4:00.
TLP’s Script Writer’s Workshop runs June 13 through June 17 and is open to youth ages 7 to 18. During this workshop, writers will work with TLP’s education staff to develop a script that will be used in the performance of the Kid Detectives workshop. Additionally, TLP will host a Children’s Theatre Workshop for youth ages 4 through 12. This workshop is on July 2 and is a three-hour introduction to theatre skills. It includes attendance at the July 2 matinee performance of TLP’s Annie.
The High School Showcase is open to all high school students. This is a five-day immersive experience that will feature training in acting, dance and music, improvisation, playwriting, and how to audition for schools and professional shows. Students will leave the workshop with a monologue, vocal cut, a dance piece, and other audition material that can be used for auditions and college applications. Audition material will be recorded and students will receive a video link to their performance for their professional reel. The workshop includes daily lunch and a ticket to TLP's production of We Will Rock You.
TLP is again offering high school students an opportunity to perform at the playhouse. TLP invites all area high school students to audition for their summer musicals including Annie (June 30 – July 10), Legally Blonde (July 14 – 24), and We Will Rock You (August 11 – 21). Actors may audition for one or more of the shows. This opportunity is also open to student technicians.

Safe Haven Classical Blast |

Classical Blast Concert benefiting Safe Haven Humane Society is scheduled for Friday, July 29, 2022, at the historic Turner Hall in downtown Galena. This is the band's only appearance in Galena for the summer of 2022.

2nd Annual Safe Haven Golf Outing & Benefit is scheduled for Sunday, September 11, 2022 at Woodbine Bend Golf Course & Restaurant. This is Safe Haven's largest fundraising event of the year. There are spots open for businesses to sponsor! Various sponsorship levels are available. |

Babysitting Clinic with the University of Illinois Extension Program |
|
The University of Illinois Extension will be offering a babysitting clinic this summer. Interested youth may attend the clinic on June 7, 2022, at the Elizabeth Community Building between 9 am- 2:30 pm. Participants will learn to watch over the children in their care by learning to build leadership and decision-making skills, choose age-appropriate activities and fun games, create healthy snacks, understand the behaviors of different age groups of children and give you the tools needed to help manage them, and more. Participants will also learn about choking prevention and receive beginner First Aid training. This clinic is designed to help you become a babysitter that families can rely on!
All youth ages 11 and up, who have completed the 5th grade, are welcome to attend for only $5. Pre-registration is required. You may register by visiting our website at go.illinois.edu/jsw or by calling the Jo Daviess County Extension Office at 815-858-2273. 4-H membership is not required. The deadline to register is June 2 and space is limited.
