CHAMBER CONNECTIONS

We are grateful for the opportunity to share just a few stories, representative of the many connections made through GBCC this year. We can't wait to see how member-to-member relationships flourish in 2025!

Over the past decade, Wine Key Experience has been involved in various local Chamber of Commerce communities in Maryland, each with their own advantages and drawbacks. However, the Greater Bethesda Chamber of Commerce stands outs. This group has welcomed us, showcasing Wine Key Experience to numerous people, businesses, and clients, allowing our business to thrive. The support from this Chamber has us feel valued. As an event service business, we rely on word of mouth to grow our business. The Greater Bethesda Chamber of Commerce connected us with Burke & Herbert Bank and we were able to provide bartending services for their Open House. We were honored to be a part of a great event and it wouldn't have been possible without the chamber.

I was ready to panic! As a relatively new business in Bethesda, I didn’t have the connections that I had in Virginia. We were in the midst of planning an open house reception at our upcoming location and realized that serving alcohol in a new state presented new regulations! I am so very happy I thought of calling Carla at the GBCC! She immediately gave me a few references, one of which was Wine Key Experiences and Marcelle Folk. They were amazing. They came through on short notice, adapted to our event, worked with our caterer, and our event went off without a hitch. All thanks to a call to the GBCC!!!

GBCC'S WEEK OF GIVING

The Chamber kicked off our week of giving by delivering donations for our annual Goodwill Coalition to Nourishing Bethesda. Later, Chuck Kauffman, Vamoose Bus, stopped by the Chamber Office with his annual sweet, holiday gift. The day ended with the final Board of Directors Meeting and networking social hour at Hank Dietle's Tavern. Our Board celebrated a successful 2024, welcomed our incoming Board Members, and toasted those finishing their terms.

Our giving week finale was another visit to Nourishing Bethesda for an evening of food packing for local families in need. Thank you to all the GBCC members who joined in our Day of Service and to everyone who donated to the Chamber's annual Goodwill Coalition Drive!
