WEEKLY RECAP

Members of our Senior Market and Health & Wellness Groups met for a networking luncheon at Joseph Gawler's Sons Funeral Home in Washington, DC. The tour and discussion was led by Gawler's President, Duane Hills.

Thank you Duane and staff for the wonderful hospitality, insightful history and fun facts, and the beautiful tour of your downstairs museum.

December 1st was the GBCC's Annual Legislative Reception. Members and guests were joined by state and county officials for a special meet and greet event. A special thank you to the team at AC Hotel Downtown Bethesda for their exceptional level of service.

“About one in three working Americans switched jobs over the past two years, and better pay was the most common reason, according to a new PBS NewsHour/NPR/Marist poll.” But older workers were the least likely to jump ship, says News Hour’s Hannah Grabenstein.

Those aged 45 and under were twice as likely as those 45 or older to have switched jobs (48 percent versus 22 percent), and Gen Z and millennials were the group of Americans most likely to have changed jobs at 52 percent. Meanwhile, only 18 percent of Baby Boomers switched jobs.”
