FIRST HOME MORTGAGE RIBBON CUTTING CELEBRATION

GBCC Members, Board and Staff enjoyed celebrating First Home Mortgage with a ribbon cutting ceremony as they launched their new Rockledge location. We are grateful to Councilmember Laurie-Anne Sayles, who joined us for the occasion and to all the other guests who enjoyed getting to know First Home Mortgage and their staff, experiencing the new home office, and indulging in a beautifully catered lunch. NextExecs Group brought back their popular speed networking activity to their monthly meeting. The group was welcomed by AC Hotel Downtown Bethesda where the group hosted their meeting and HH in their signature Corella Cafe and Lounge.

ECONOMIC DEVELOPMENT COMMITTEE

The Economic Development committee enjoyed a wonderfully informative presentation from Atara Margolies, Montgomery Planning, sharing information about the Friendship Heights Urban Design Study. The group enjoyed hearing about the process of community engagement as part of the sector plan as the County envisions future optimization of the area.

WOMEN'S NETWORKING GROUP

GBCC's Women's Networking Group enjoyed a delicious June meeting, hosted by Bethesda Chocolates! Members enjoyed getting to know shop owner Heather and learning about her entrepreneurship journey while sampling exquisitely crafted chocolates and beverages. Next, the ladies engaged in speed-networking designed to deepen relationships and business connections. Our thanks to Bethesda Chocolates for hosting!
