NEXTEXECS BACKPACK DRIVE

Join the GBCC-NextExecs as they kick off their 3rd Annual Back to School Drive.

Help them reach this year’s goal to fill 700 backpacks for MCPS students in grades K-12.

Donations are accepted now through August 9th and can be delivered to the GBCC office. 

Take advantage of your GBCC member discount at the Staples store in Chevy Chase to buy new and unused school supplies and backpacks. 

Minimum $20.00 monetary donations may also be made via check or Venmo @TGBCC using memo line #NEBACKPACK24.

Volunteers to fill the backpacks can register on our event calendar for the August 20th backpack party in the GBCC Boardroom.

GBCC's Economic Development and Real Estate Committees held back-to-back meetings, each with power-house speakers working to create thriving economic zones within GBCC's footprint. Our thanks to Pike District Partnership Executive Director Gene Cornelius and Friendship Heights Alliance President and Executive Director Natalie Avery for all the work they do, for being wonderful GBCC partner organizations and for sharing their insights with our committee attendees.

NEXTEXECS

The NextExecs had a wonderful annual outdoor summer meeting last week, hosted at BabyCat Brewery, with featured speaker Juli Canavan of Snyder Cohn. Afterwards, members of the GBCC Health & Wellness Committee and Senior Market Group joined the NextExecs for happy hour, enjoying BabyCats' amazing locally crafted brews.
