A ResumeBuilder survey of 800 hiring managers found that nearly four in 10 admitted to reviewing applicants’ resumes with age bias, reports Emma Ascott in Allwork at https://allwork.space/2022/05/workplace-ageism-4-in-10-hiring-managers-admit-to-age-bias/.

The antidote is training, says Amy Zimmerman in the article. Zimmerman, Chief People Officer at Relay Payments, also notes that employers can increase the likelihood of an equitable interview process by using a scorecard built on company values and on the characteristics that drive success. A scorecard of that sort along with team training on its use comprise “the holy grail for building a high-performance culture,” she says.
