AGE FRIENDLY EMPLOYMENT

“For men, middle age can often be the era of their professional peak” – their prime earning years -- reports Monica Torres in HuffPost. Yet, there is no age-related “sweet spot” for professional women.

Preliminary research by the Harvard Business Review found that women under 40 “saw their experience and credibility dismissed because of their age, while women between 40 and 60 ― what the study considered middle age ― continued to experience gendered ageism, too.”

The author concludes that “ageism is often still seen as one of the last socially acceptable forms of work discrimination.”
