| | ECONOMIC DEVELOPMENT & REAL ESTATE COMMITTEES | | |
GBCC's back-to-back Economic Development and Real Estate Committees both hosted excellent speakers last week. Councilmember Laurie-Anne Sayles spoke to Economic Development about how the county is working to support current and former Federal workers, about the county budget outlook and about creating affordable housing.
The Real Estate Committee hosted Jason Winans, Executive Vice President of Asset Management for the newly rebranded, CCLC, formerly known as the Chevy Chase Land Company. He shared information about the company's history, its assets, its vision for the future. Our thanks to both insightful presenters!
| | It was a fantastic September gathering with our NextExecs! A special thank you to Nesfield Performance for welcoming the group into their stunning new location on Wisconsin Avenue. Our group dove into an insightful discussion on tech and health, followed by a guided tour of their impressive new space. To top off the afternoon, everyone indulged in some delicious frozen treats at Max’s Best Ice Cream — Bethesda’s newest go-to spot for sweet cravings! | | WOMEN'S NETWORKING GROUP (WNG) | | |
GBCC's September WNG meeting was nothing short of spectacular. We were honored to be led through a mini cooking class by Shelley Heron of Foodies Farms and Friends who showcased how to transform fresh, seasonal ingredients into elegant, delicious salads. Shelley’s dedication to local produce is truly inspiring.
And elevating our culinary creations, Leslie Frelow of Vino 301 The Wine Concierge paired each dish with thoughtfully curated wines. Leslie’s passion for wine education and support of women & minority winemakers shone through.
We’re so proud of the energy, connections, and conversations that flourished in this new space. Thank you to everyone who joined, and special gratitude to Shelley and Leslie for making this a night to remember.
| | NESFIELD PERFORMANCE RIBBON CUTTING | | |
Over the weekend, we were honored to celebrate the grand opening of Nesfield Performance, a vision 21 years in the making. From family and clients to friends and supporters, the outpouring of community love was truly inspiring.
Tiffany's dedication, perseverance, and belief in her dream are shining examples to all of us. Congratulations on this milestone — and we know the best is yet to come!
