March 2018
Happy National Nutrition Month ® !

In celebration of National Nutrition Month, I encourage you all to check-out the current Policy Brief section where we have outlined an opportunity for you to provide public comment on the topics and scientific questions under consideration for the 2020-2025 USDA Dietary Guidelines for Americans. This a great opportunity to impact policy at the federal level.
Thank you to all of the Champion Provider Fellows who responded to The California Endowment’s recent call for help in authoring op-eds about the Affordable Care Act. We hope to continue to cultivate these opportunities for fellows to share their voices in the future.

And many thanks our partner the California Medical Association and to Flojuane Cofer, PhD, MPH, Research & State Policy Director, Public Health Advocates , for presenting during our recent webinar Sugary Drinks: Using Grassroots Advocacy to Reduce Consumption . If you were unable to attend, you can download the webinar here .

Make sure to check out the Upcoming Events section to see how we have partnered with California School Based Health Alliance to expand our audience.
Lastly, I am pleased to announce the e-version of Champion Provider Fellowship PSE Playbook: Implementing Policy, System and Environmental Change in Our Communities is now posted on our website under "Resources." (Click icon for link).
